Okay, I'm not actually a librarian. Or I'm only an amateur one--a librarian for this site here. I'm also a physician who's been interested in what seems like forever now in the myriad of connections possible between words and stories and poetry and healing.
I believe people heal best when they feel that they have good options--and when they feel that they can choose among these options. This library is, among other things, my own small effort to contribute to a sense of options.
I write this in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where I used to practice Mind-Body Medicine but then decided what I really needed to do was return to the teaching of writing--and reading. As of August 2009 I'm beginning a position teaching high school English--about which I could not be more excited (but which, alas, keeps me from having the free time to update this site).
My other site is One Year of Writing and Healing (the birdhouse on the right), from which this site was born.
Oh, and my name. Diane Morrow.
